People often say that I am lucky.
They see the surface.
They see the outcome.
They see what looks like a smooth journey.
They say I was born into a “rich” family.
They see the properties, the investments, the business, and they conclude that everything must have been easy.
Today, they see a portfolio worth millions, and they assume it was always like this.
But what they do not see is what came before.
The Reality Behind the “Rich Family” Story
When I first stepped into the family business, it was not a position of comfort.
It was a position of responsibility.
At that time, the company owed creditors over two million Singapore dollars due to poor management decisions.
The structure was unstable, and the direction was unclear.

Instead of stepping into a thriving system, I stepped into a situation that required immediate correction.
There was no time to hesitate.
I had to take control, understand the finances, and slowly rebuild what had been mismanaged.
It was not glamorous work.
It was necessary work.
When the Problem Comes From Within
What made things more difficult was not just the business itself, but what was happening internally.
There were individuals within the family who, over time, took advantage of the situation.
Assets were misused, and funds were mishandled.
To this day, the total impact runs into millions of dollars.
At a certain point, difficult decisions had to be made.
I had to step in fully, take control of the finances, and remove the sources of instability.
These were not easy choices, but they were necessary to prevent everything from collapsing.
Stabilising the foundation always comes before growth.
Building My Own Path

Despite being part of the family business, I did not rely on it for personal income.
I drew very little salary and knew that if I wanted financial independence, I had to create it myself.
That meant starting from scratch in my own way.
I began saving consistently.
I studied my BaZi chart in depth.
I focused on understanding my strengths, my timing, and how to position myself correctly.
From there, I slowly built my own wealth, step by step, through property investment and business.
Nothing about that process was instant.
The Truth About Property Investing
Many people think property investing is simple.
They assume it is just about buying a property and waiting for its value to increase.
In reality, it requires planning, discipline, and constant follow-up.
You need to understand timing, financing, market conditions, and long-term positioning.
Every decision carries weight, and mistakes can be costly.
Not every BaZi chart is suited for this path.
If someone lacks structure, planning ability, or discipline, the risks increase significantly.
Being disorganised in this space is not a small issue.
It can lead to serious financial consequences.
This is why self-awareness matters.
The Reality of Building a Business
Business is another area that people often underestimate.
It is not just about starting something and watching it grow.
It requires constant adaptation.
Competitors will observe what you are doing and try to replicate it.
The moment you become comfortable, you fall behind.
To stay ahead, you need to innovate continuously.
There were periods where I worked seven days a week, without holidays, putting in long hours daily just to ensure the business kept moving forward.
It is demanding, and it requires resilience.
There is no shortcut for this.
Everyone Has a Different Path

Over time, I have come to understand something important.
Everyone’s journey is different.
Some people start with advantages but face challenges later.
Some people start with nothing but build steadily over time.
Some people succeed quickly, while others take longer.
There is no single formula.
This is why it is important not to belittle others.
You do not know what they have gone through.
You do not see the full picture behind their current position.
At the same time, it is equally important not to belittle yourself.
Your path is your own.
It does not need to look like anyone else’s.
Final Thought
Luck is often what people use to explain results they do not fully understand.
What they call luck is often a combination of timing, decision-making, discipline, and persistence.
BaZi and Feng Shui helped me understand myself better.
They helped me make more informed decisions and avoid unnecessary mistakes.
But ultimately, action is still required.
You still need to do the work.
So instead of comparing your journey to someone else’s, focus on your own direction.
Walk your own path.
Do not try to copy another person’s life.
Because in the end, everyone shines in their own way.
