What is the difference between Garuda and the Five Thunder Command Seal?
Five Thunder is for the person who can see the opportunity but hesitates to act: it is about decisiveness, authority and command. Garuda is for the person who is already acting but cannot get traction: it is about clearing 小人, obstruction and drain so that effort finally converts.
Five Thunder addresses what is inside you. Garuda addresses what is around you. Many customers carry one; some chart profiles benefit from both. If you are unsure which applies, request a complimentary BaZi analysis and we will advise you honestly.
Do I need to know my BaZi chart to benefit from this seal?
No. The Garuda function, clearing petty influence and obstruction, is not chart-specific, and many customers choose the seal purely by symptom. That said, a BaZi reading tells you whether 劫財, 七殺 or a weak Resource structure is genuinely active in your chart, and whether Garuda or another Arctic Seal piece is the stronger fit. This reading is complimentary for every Hoseiki customer.
Is this real jade? How do I know?
Every piece is carved from genuine Canadian Arctic nephrite jade; not synthetic resin, dyed stone, or glass imitation. It ships with a Certificate of Authenticity confirming the material and its Canadian Arctic origin.
Authentic nephrite feels cool and heavy in the hand, warms slowly with your body heat, and has a waxy, smooth surface no synthetic can replicate.
How is my piece blessed, and why does it matter?
Every piece undergoes an individual 開光 (kāi guāng) ritual: a traditional activation ceremony that awakens the energy within the jade, aligns it to its intended purpose, and consecrates it for the person who will carry it. The Garuda Seal completes its blessing journey at Long Hu Shan 龙虎山 before being prepared for its owner. Every single piece is blessed individually; this is not a group blessing or a symbolic gesture.
How should I wear or carry it?
