2024 was a year of milestones, mistakes, and lessons. I crossed 20,000 readings in BaZi and Feng Shui, expanded aggressively into Vietnam and Thailand, and then realized that bigger isn’t always better. Growth for the sake of growth is meaningless if it comes at the cost of focus and quality.
So, I made the decision to scale back and concentrate on my Singapore operations. This year, I saw patterns repeat across industries, and I want to share some of the hard truths I have learned. Read this carefully, because it may just save you from making costly mistakes.
1. More Students Does Not Mean Better Students
In the past year, I took in a large number of disciples, hoping to pass on my knowledge and skills. But I learned that not everyone is worth teaching.
Some people lack talent, some lack discipline, and worse, some lack gratitude. One particular student stood out. I helped her in every possible way—gave her guidance in life, investments, and Feng Shui. When she left, she accused me of blocking her path to wealth.
She decided to become a live streamer instead.
That experience reinforced my belief that not everyone deserves my time. Many people today are impatient, chasing fast success without understanding the real work behind mastery.
For now, I have decided to stop taking in new disciples. It is exhausting to guide those who do not appreciate the knowledge they receive.
However, there is one person I do respect—Li Ming. She is hardworking, disciplined, and, most importantly, grateful. If you ever find me too busy or feel that my waiting list is too long, I highly recommend booking a BaZi reading with her instead. She is one of the few I trust.
2. Not Everyone Should Be a Live Streamer
A question I hear too often is: "How much money can I make from live streaming?"
This is the wrong question.
The right question should be: "What do I have to share?"
Live streaming is not simply about making money. The real value of a live streamer comes from their ability to educate, entertain, and provide something meaningful to their audience. Unfortunately, too many people go into it just to make a quick profit, often at the expense of honesty and integrity.
I have seen people selling dangerous fat-loss products to desperate consumers, promoting scams, and spreading misinformation. It is disturbing how easily people fall for these tricks.
I once came across a bald man selling hair growth products. People still bought from him—not because the product worked, but because he was entertaining. This made me question:
"If people buy things based purely on jokes, how will they vote in elections? Can they still think logically?"
The world is changing, and critical thinking is becoming rare. Before you ask me whether you should start live streaming, ask yourself instead:
-
Are you doing this just to make money?
-
Are you truly passionate about a specific topic?
-
Can you add value to your audience?
Live streaming can be meaningful if done right. I have a client who is passionate about pet care. She shares valuable information about animals and genuinely helps pet owners. This is a good example of someone using live streaming correctly.
However, if your goal is just to make fast money, then please do not go into live streaming. The world does not need more people like that.
3. Not Everyone Should Be a Property Agent or Insurance Agent
There is a false belief that becoming a property agent or an insurance agent leads to easy money and a luxurious lifestyle. Many people are drawn to these professions because they see agents showing off their wealth online.
But here is the reality—successful agents work extremely hard.
The best agents are not just salespeople. They study the market, refine their skills, and build long-term relationships with clients. They handle rejections, long hours, and the stress of an unpredictable income.
If you are looking for an easy life, do not become an agent.
I have done BaZi readings for many agents, and I can tell you this—the truly successful ones do not have an easy life. They put in the effort, and their success does not happen overnight.
4. Not Everyone Should Do MLM
If there is one piece of advice I could give to everyone, it is this: Do not do MLM. Ever.
I have seen too many people destroy their finances because they were promised easy money.
One woman I know invested $50,000 into beauty products, believing she could sell them. She could not. The stock is still sitting in her home. Instead of admitting she was cheated, she continued to defend the MLM system.
This is the sad reality of MLM. It traps people in debt and denial.
Instead of wasting money on MLM, invest in learning what you are actually good at. If you do not know what your strengths are, get a BaZi reading. Understanding your true potential is far more valuable than chasing fake opportunities.
5. Not Everyone Should Be a Full-Time Trader
Many people dream of a stress-free life where they can stay at home, turn on the air-conditioning, and use AI to trade and make money in their sleep.
But trading is not easy money. It requires skill, luck, and discipline. I have seen many people lose everything because they thought they could outsmart the market.
One of my clients started strong—she made $5,000 in her first month. Then she lost $8,000 the next month. The following months, she lost $15,000, then $50,000. She borrowed money to cover her losses and is still in debt today.
The truth is, most people are not suited for trading. The market is brutal, and unless you have the right mindset and strategy, it will destroy you financially.
How to Actually Improve Your Luck
If you want to create real change in your life, focus on these four things:
-
Do not believe that fate is fixed. Try your best to change your circumstances.
-
Learn from mistakes. Avoid repeating patterns that have led others to failure.
-
Help others and take joy in doing so. True success is built on creating value for others.
-
Be humble. The moment you think you know everything, you stop growing.
Instead of chasing get-rich-quick schemes, invest in real knowledge. One of the best things you can do is take a BaZi Manifestation course and understand yourself better.
This will change your life far more than any MLM, trading strategy, or online scam.
